Pentecost

The Season of Pentecost begins with the Day of Pentecost, fifty days after Easter. Because Pentecost celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit from heaven…and the birth of the Church, Pentecost is a season of evangelism and outreach, as Christians celebrate the presence of the Holy Spirit.  The color used during this time in the church is Green – the color of new growth and life.
